HEALTH AND SAFETY BRIEFING
HERO CLAN, z. s. declares that, in accordance with Act no. 198/2002 Coll. on Voluntary Service, it will ensure that all volunteers receive health and safety (H&S) training.
The Partner Organisation (PO) commits to providing sufficient equipment and protective gear for all planned work tasks, and to ensuring that a designated person from the PO briefs volunteers on the safety rules relevant to those tasks. The PO further commits to identifying potential risks associated with the voluntary work and taking steps to prevent them.
The general safety measures we follow to protect volunteers, which also form part of the verbal briefing at every event, are as follows:
- Volunteers are not assigned tasks that could pose a physical risk given their age, experience, or the nature of voluntary work.
- Volunteers always work in pairs or groups, minimising the risk of finding themselves in a dangerous or otherwise undesirable situation.
- If volunteers are required to operate potentially hazardous machinery, they will always be supervised by a qualified worker - though such tasks are rare and ideally avoided altogether.
Throughout the event, the volunteer group is accompanied by a leader who oversees the group, monitors safety, and ensures sufficient equipment and tools are available. - A first aid kit is always kept in an accessible, clearly known location during the event.
Consent to these conditions is part of the registration for every weekend event. By submitting the registration form, you join the insurance policy and acknowledge the health and safety rules. Please also read the participation terms and information about the participation fee.
