THEATRE CLEAN-UP AT THE BREWERY
Join us for the very first volunteer event of 2026!
On the first Saturday of February, we’re heading to the heart of cultural life in Prague’s Libeň district. This one-day volunteer action will support Studio ALTA, a vibrant cultural centre that’s transforming a former brewery into a hub for art and community life. Your help will make the space cleaner, safer, and ready for the next phase of renovations.
WHAT WE'LL BE DOING
We’ll be working indoors, helping with clean-up and prep tasks as part of the ongoing renovation – painting, basic construction work, vacuuming, and general cleaning. Final details will be shared just before the event, depending on the site’s progress.
Please note: the space may be dusty. Protective gear will be available. If dust might be a problem for you (e.g. allergies), just let us know in your application – we’ll assign you to another area with lighter conditions.
You don’t need any previous experience or skills to join – this event is open to anyone who’s ready to lend a hand!
SUPPLEMENTARY PROGRAM
This day won’t be just about work! You’ll also learn about Studio ALTA’s mission and get a guided tour of the space. We’ll share a group snack, warm drinks, and maybe even roast some goodies by the fire.

Studio ALTA is a cultural centre, collective, and production platform. It nurtures creative ideas, responds to societal needs, and serves as a safe space for dreaming and realizing bold visions.
Founded in 2008 in Prague’s Holešovice district, it started as a venue for dance and physical theatre. Over time, its mission evolved into a multicultural centre and creative hub connecting artists, communities, and the public. After three years in Invalidovna, Studio ALTA moved in 2023 to its current home – the historic former Panský Brewery in Libeň.
Today, its programme features daring, innovative works that aim to inspire creativity, engagement, and meaningful dialogue around difference – a key value in any open and healthy society.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
MEETING POINT
We will meet on Saturday morning right in front of Studio ALTA. The nearest public transport stops are Palmovka (metro B) or Libeňský zámek (tram). We will specify the time a few days before the event. Before the event, we will create a WhatsApp group for communication.
MEALS
We’ll provide snacks and a lunch. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know directly in the registration form.
WHAT TO BRING
- Warm work clothes suited for the weather (something you don’t mind getting dirty)
- Warm work shoes or boots
- Water bottle
RETURN
After the work is done and we’ve cleaned up the tools, we’ll wrap things up and head home in the late afternoon or early evening. The exact end time will be confirmed before the event.
