CHRISTMAS MAGIC IN THE FORTRESS
Join us in preparing the historic Nebovidská Fortress for a magical Christmas! Take part in our one-day volunteering event in Nebovidy and experience firsthand how this historical landmark transforms into a warm, festive setting. Your help matters—it will not only create a memorable atmosphere for visitors but also support our association in maintaining and revitalizing this treasured site.
WHAT WE'LL BE DOING
We will decorate the fortress grounds, prepare festive Christmas decorations, set up and adorn Christmas trees, and get the area ready for upcoming holiday events. Your involvement will directly contribute to bringing the fortress to life and ensuring the preservation of this cultural heritage.
You don’t need any previous experience or skills to join – this event is open to anyone who’s ready to lend a hand!
SUPPLEMENTARY PROGRAM
During the day, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the fortress, learning fascinating details about its history and current use. You'll also discover how the local association operates and hear about their projects, which contribute significantly to local community and cultural development.
The event will primarily be held in Czech.

Nebovidská tvrz, z.s. is an association of local enthusiasts striving to enrich the cultural and community life in Nebovidy and its surroundings. Their main goal is to restore and preserve the historical Nebovidská Fortress, turning it into a vibrant venue for community gatherings, cultural events, and social activities. To achieve this, the association relies on financial support and volunteer efforts from anyone willing to contribute—even by just attending their events.
Besides caring for the fortress, the association actively engages in environmental conservation, landscaping, and the preservation of local heritage and cultural values. Through their various activities, they strengthen community ties and foster meaningful connections among local residents.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
MEETING POINT
We’ll meet on Saturday morning directly at the event location. A few days before the event, you’ll get the exact time and address. Please let us know in the registration form how you plan to arrive – if you’re not sure yet, no worries. We’ll set up a WhatsApp group before the event to coordinate carpooling, shared train rides, or where to meet.
MEALS
We’ll provide snacks and a lunch. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know directly in the registration form.
WHAT TO BRING
- Warm work clothes suited for the weather (something you don’t mind getting dirty)
- Work gloves
- Warm, preferably waterproof work shoes or boots
- Water bottle
RETURN
After the work is done and we’ve cleaned up the tools, we’ll wrap things up and head home in the late afternoon or early evening. The exact end time will be confirmed before the event.
