WHAT WILL WE DO

We will take part in various maintenance tasks around Valdštejnská Lodžie. This may include collecting branches and logs, stacking firewood, trimming trees, cleaning up the area or other work depending on the site’s current needs. We will distribute more physically demanding tasks so that everyone can find their role. No prior experience or special skills are required—just a willingness to help!

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM

It won’t be all about work! We’ll take a behind-the-scenes tour of Valdštejnská Lodžie, exploring its history and cultural significance. Learn more about baroque architecture and Albrecht von Wallenstein, the man behind its creation. You can also visit the artistic installation Forest of Enchanted Souls in the nearby woods or take a hike up Zebín Hill for breathtaking views of the region.

The organization breathes new life into Valdštejnská Lodžie in Jičín, transforming it into a vibrant center of culture and community.

Since 2011, a team led by castellan Jiří Vydra has been blending live art with unconventional ways of exploring history. In addition to concerts, festivals, and theater performances, visitors can experience unique events such as Čarodění, Divovánoce, or the Festival of Trees. The story of the monument itself is brought to life through interactive games, immersive tours, and original video experiences.

Come and discover this captivating, never-completed historical site with its own unique spirit, a place that has become a key hub of cultural life in the entire region.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

ACCOMMODATION

We will be staying in historical chambers or in the castellan's apartment, sleeping in beds.

There is also the option to bring a sleeping bag and sleep on the Lodžie’s terrace under the stars✨.

MEETING POINT

We will meet on Friday evening at the event location. The exact time will be confirmed shortly before the event.

MEALS

Food will be provided throughout the event, except for Friday dinner. If you have any dietary restrictions, the leader will discuss them with you before the event.
